Your Bilingual Virtual Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator
With over 29 years experience in nutrition and dietetics, I am Joan Cornier, a bilingual virtual Registered & Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist and Certified Diabetes Care & Education Specialist. I am passioniate about empowering individuals with diabetes to learn the fundamentals of diabetes. I strive to transform the complexity of managing diabetes into a series of attainable lifestyle adjustments. Leveraging my hands-on experience, I guide each patient through personal nutritional journeys, breaking down the essentials of healthy eating and effective diabetes management into practical, sustainable steps that fit into their lives. It's my firm belief that incremental change is the cornerstone to achieving remarkable health breakthroughs, and I am committed to supporting each patient as they navigate this path.
Born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, and embracing multicultural upbringing in Florida, my diverse background enriches the educational experience I provide. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and Nutrition from Florida International University, I not only share my expertise but also a genuine connection with patients who face similar cultural influences on their health choices. I continually integrate the latest in diabetes care with best practices from my encounters, both professional and personal, to ensure that my patients are equipped with the resources and knowledge to lead healthier, more fulfilled lives.
